Policy and Etiquette 


At A. Lakeath, the safety and well-being of our clients are our top priorities. To ensure a secure and comfortable environment for all, we have implemented the following policy regarding parental supervision during hair braiding appointments for children.

“Parents or guardians are required to remain on the premises while their child is receiving hair braiding services. This policy is in place to ensure the safety of the child and to allow for immediate communication in case of any questions or concerns that may arise during the appointment.

Rationale

1. Safety and Comfort: Children may feel more at ease knowing their parent or guardian is nearby. In the unlikely event of an emergency, it is crucial for a responsible adult to be present.

2. Immediate Communication: Hair braiding can sometimes require decisions on style adjustments or comfort levels. Having the parent or guardian present ensures that these decisions can be made quickly and appropriately.

3. Trust and Security: Our policy fosters a trusting relationship between our stylist, clients, and their families. It also ensures that the stylist can focus on providing the best service without concerns about the child’s supervision.

Exceptions

In special circumstances, exceptions to this policy may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Parents or guardians must discuss any potential exceptions with the business owner or stylist prior to the appointment date.

Enforcement

Adherence to this policy is mandatory. In the event that a parent or guardian does not comply with this policy, the appointment may be rescheduled or cancelled at the discretion of the stylist or business owner.

Payment Policy

**1. Payment Methods:**

- cash or zelle accepted

- Full payment is required immediately upon completion of services.

**2. Late Payment Fees:**

- Payments not made at the time of service completion will incur a late fee of $20-50 per day.

- If payment is not received within 7 days of the service date, an additional fee of $50 will be added.

**3. Cancellation Policy:**

- Appointments canceled less than 24 hours in advance will incur a cancellation fee of $50.

- Emergency cancellations will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

**4. Refund Policy:**

- Refunds are not provided for completed services. If you are dissatisfied with your service, please inform the stylist before she leaves, and she will do her best to address your concerns.

**5. Rescheduling Policy:**

- Clients are allowed to reschedule appointments up to 24 hours before their scheduled time without penalty.

**6. Recurring Clients:**

- Clients who consistently pay on time will be eligible for loyalty rewards, including discounts and priority booking.

- Recurring late payments will result in the client being required to pre-pay for future services or being banned from the website.

By booking an appointment with A. Lakeath, you agree to adhere to the policies outlined above. Failure to comply with these policies may result in additional fees, and repeated violations may result in a refusal of service.
